Blue, you are almost certainly suffering from clinical depression. I read on one of your other posts that you had been given medication for it. You HAVE to take this medication continuously for it to work. I know you said it made you feel bad, but there are other solutions. You really need to see a doctor about this. You are not mad and definitely not alone in these feelings. Depression can be beaten, but you will need some specialist help as well as the love and support of your gf. Best wishes.

    Hi blue,

Sorry to hear that your feeling really down right now - it must be really difficult to suddenly feel down after a positive day. Just try to remember that this isn't a punishment, it's an illness.

As overthehill mentions there are ways to help deal with depression and feeling that you can't control the way you feel. It's important to remember that if one particular way to deal with depression or if a particular medication hasn't helped then there will be alternatives.

If you'd like to just chat to someone live then there's always the Samaritans on 08457 90 90 90. As other users have found, they aren't just there to deal with feeling suicidal but to be a friendly voice to talk to when things are rough.

It may also be worth speaking to your doctor again about alternative medication or treatments and to help you find the best way to deal with and improve what you're experiencing.

Hope you feel happier soon :)
