Has bereavement left you in charge of your siblings?

Hello

Documentary film makers, Firecracker Films, are developing a thoughtful new documentary for the BBC. It will follow the stories of teenagers who find themselves looking after their younger siblings after losing their parents.

Unexpectedly finding yourself responsible for the care of your siblings is one thing; to be coping with a bereavement in addition is another. The documentary will raise awareness of this difficult situation and reach out to others who may be going through similar experiences.

If you are aged 16 to 20 and are caring for younger siblings, they'd very much like to hear from you. There is no obligation to make any commitment at this stage and anything you wish to discuss will be treated sensitively, in the strictest confidence.
