Shelf life of milk

Supermarket milk has a shelf life of about 10 days from new. If you freeze it on day 1, will the shelf life still be 10 days when you defrost it?

No. Freezing doesn't stop the deterioration it just slows it down a lot.

I don't know the actual time scale. But i wouldn't freeze milk for more than a month or two and i'd use it up within 3 days after defrosting.

    PLEASE NOTE -

You need to freeze it in something that has room for it to expand. Water expands when it freezes so don't just put a full, plastic bottle of milk in the freezer or it could end up messy.

We take delivery of milk in batch at my work, use one bottle, freeze the rest, then take out another bottle when needed. A bottle wouldn't last as long as 3 days once it's out, so I think we're fine.

    Thanks dude.
