anybody no how to get sorted with housing benefit i havent got a clue and in desperate need of getting sorted

    You go to the local council's office and make an application. You'll need to tell them what your rent is, who your landlord is, and you'll need to provide recent bank statements and benefit letters/payslips to prove what your income is.

    How much you get depends on your income, how old you are, where you're living and whether you have children or a partner. If you're under 25 and single the maximum you can get is enough to pay for a shared room in a house.
