Mustard expiration?

Indrid ColdIndrid Cold Posts: 16,688 Skive's The Limit
Some mustard I bought at least 2 months ago has an expiration date of 08/2010. On the box it just says "Preserved in a fridge", it doesn't mention anything like "Consume in X days after opening".
Does that mean that as long as it's in the fridge it will be fine until next year, or is it already too late?

I think mustard lasts forever so you'll be fine.. until 2010

Does that mean that if I use it now, I'm going to suddenly die next year? :nervous: :p

    Thanks :)

I think I've been using the same mustard for a couple years now. Still going strong (me and the mustard :p)

It's in a plastic bottle, liquid. I suppose that makes it ready made.

I was speaking to a guy that makes his own food the other day, and sells it blah blah blah... but he said that "best before" dates are only put on cos they have to be by law. Use by dates are often just rough guidlines too (I'm not saying drink the milk with the lumps in it tho, use commen sense aswell! ha!)
