Hi guys and girls
havent been on here for a while- a lots happening i guess!
anyhow, am getting married next year, and naturally have already started to look at frocks. my fiance (horid annoying word) and i have very little money, and i was looking to get a dress second hand or something
then I saw these dresses on ebay that claim to be made to measure from abroad-some of them look lovely.
has anyone used these before?? what were they like, were they good?
any help with this much appreciated
Cheers!

am so taken with this dress ive seen on ebay from one of those overseas jobbies, and the feedback isnt bad....hmmm. what to do what to do...
Oxfam in the UK
I dont think buying from china is a question of quality or niceness, i think it is more an issue of trust and communication,
wasn't made to measure though + i know a prom dress is nothing like a wedding dress.
like other people have said just check the feedback. i've been ripped off before by a couple of sellers on ebay + i don't know whether it's worth risking something as important as a wedding dress. but if they aren't too expensive and there's alot of postive feedback then i don't see why not? as long as they seem reputable
That's why you obsessively check feedback
I deal with a Chinese factory every day for work (not clothing, but the principle is the same!) and there is a massive difference between the English communication skills of the employees. The woman I email most of the time is great, and while she doesn't speak the Queen's english, she does pretty damn well, and we always understand each other. But when she goes on holiday and leaves the other two in charge, well, it's like plaiting fog
if only it was that simple.
erm...good for you, but I look at it a little differently. the guy I am marrying means the world to me, I like you intend to only get married the one time-but I dont intend to get into debt to do it!! (although we are saving for it)I think that would not be such a great start to our marriage.if youve got the money, and an expensive dress and blow out day are what does it for you, then all power to you.
am still looking at dresses-have tried a few on now, and know now what suits me...
