  I have skimmed through your thread. You've been through a lot and for so long. I have just recently been diagnosed with depression and currently on a waiting list for some help (they are useless). I've decided to seek help online which is why I've joined here today.

  My suggestion would be to try out what the dr said. I'm guessing she is trying to see how you react to a reduction in the dose? If you are ok.. great but if things start to get difficult again go straight back and get them back. I think a lot of doctoring is about tweaking medications to try and get the optimum balance for each individual, as obviously they don't want to give you more than you need but definitely want to give you enough to cope with the ailment.
