just browsing some jobs on t'interweb, came across this -

'THIS IS A BANK POST. CALL-OFF BASIS, NO SET WORKING PATTERN'

what does that mean?

    'No set working pattern' probably means there isnt a regular 9-5 shift and you get whatever random shifts there are

    Yep. Bank Staff seems to be some term used within the NHS, that covers a pool of workers that essentially fill in for other people when they are off sick,etc..

    In other words, this would not be a full time post, it would be something that you get occasional random work from.
