Civil servant wages and Lambeth: London weighting?

Former MemberFormer Member Posts: 1,876,323 The Mix Honorary Guru
I have recently started a new job with the civil service in Lambeth and was really enjoying it.

However, I got the contract through today and it says my wages are £14K, but I applied for a job of £18K inclusive of London weighting. My contract says I am working in a national pay zone.

So does Lambeth not count as being in London then? As Wikipedia says it's inner London.

I feel quite fucked over if this is the case... I'm also going to try and get a transfer back to Wales as well, as the wages are very low considering I live in London. :crying:

I'd ask your employer perhaps it's an oversight on their part, do you still have the ad that you applied with?

No, it was on my old laptop... Hosted on their website.

I most likely have the job reference number written down.
