  Babyhead are an ace ska/hip-hop band from Bristol, wicked live. Also Derwyddon Dr Gonzo and Tattsyrup, both from Wales (DDG play in Welsh a lot but don't let that put you off!) Obviously then there are the big names, Madness, The Specials, The Toasters...also Save Ferris, Mighty Mighty Bosstones, Less Than Jake...there are loads out there

  Sounds like you're listening more to Skacore than actual ska. If your looking for something with a more traditional sound to it.

  I like all types of ska! skapunk, skacore, trad ska
  
  My fav bands have to be: Lightyear, Capdown, King Prawn, Sublime, Save Ferris, Goldfinger (both their ska and punk stuff) and also Mad Caddies
  
  The 3rd wave scene has kinda died down a bit now (it was best around 2000-2003) but there is still good music goin on, and some bands like Lightyear are even reforming
