Boxes and labels (a poem)

Im not a jar,
But i do like to jam,
Im not a tin,
But im full of beans as much as any other man,
im not a bottle,
But im high on spirits, stretching my wing span
So why then the label?
You cant buy me from Nike,
Sick of being judged,
About time I got on my bike,
To go for a hike,
To the land of no frills people,
Where things are real
and its no big deal
cos we've all got our different appeals

So throw away the label,
Ban them from the table,
Dont stick me in a tick box,
Im a person not a fox,
Indivuality
Will no longer be deprived for me!


(this is just a little poem i wrote about people being labelled. What do you think? rubbish, eh?)

    Not being a poetry type of person myself, I am not really quealified to judge it's literary merits, but at least it rhymes <IMG SRC="smile.gif" border="0" ALT="icon"> (a prerequisite for a good poem as far as I am concerned <IMG SRC="biggrin.gif" border="0" ALT="icon">)

    Is it possible to go for a hike whilst riding a bike?

    I generally despise teen poetry, but I thought that was quite good (from a personal not a 'write all over it in red pen' point of view).
    I like the idea behind it but the 'box' fox' rhyme doesn't really work for me.
