We're currently setting up a Student Events Organiser programme - here's some details peeps from Becca, our Corporate Development Executive -

We?re looking for students to become Student Events Organisers for YouthNet. By organising and planning events of your choice (e.g a gig night, fashion show, sports tournament etc) in and around your university, you'll raise money for us whilst adding great skills to their CV (time management, organisations skills, leadership etc).

If you manage to raise the minimum amount (£1,750) YouthNet will provide you with a written reference and a week?s work experience at YouthNet?s offices.

There is an application form attached which explains the programme in more detail.

For more info please contact: Becca.lucas@youthnet.org

So if it's of interest please get in touch with Becca :thumb:

How are you expecting students to do this? Would it be something they do off their own back or would you be trying to work with the SUs to get something sorted?

Just wondering 'cause of my job!

    Hi Kermit

The idea is that students work off their own back to put on events of their choice. It's completely up to the student when the events take place and when the preparation is done, as we appreciate that people will have other commitments :)

However, the student will have a personal contact at YouthNet who'll help them along the way by providing a start-up kit, a toolkit (template invites, images they can use etc), and ongoing support.

    Any other questions, just shout.

    Becca
