This is one company I find very tricky and cant wait until my current contract for Mobile Broadband finishes with. Just went to their website and logged in to enable international roaming.

They won't let you enable it online - and it tell you to call 333 free from your phone and speak to a customer adviser. Called the number - got cut off about 4 times - but all you get is a recorded message telling you to dial 500 and speak to a Mobile Broadband Specialist.

You call this number and speak to a very pleasant guy in India - who is very polite but aint no specialist and kindly requests to put you on hold whilst he finds out the answers to questions he should probably already know the answers to.

But after logging into my account I find out I've been charged almost £2 for the entire phone call, which at no point on the website, 333 number or when dialing the 500 number they tell you you'll be charged for.

I wrote them a email of complaint and 4 hours later got a woman offering me a special one time refund ... but she didn't seem to have any interest in passing back feedback other then to tell me to call the 500 number again.

Has anyone ever managed to talk or communicate with a member of their staff that isn't based in India?

I wonder if any of the company's UK Managers get any real feedback from the people in India and actually know what people think of their company?

I don't mind using 3 Mobile on a PAYG Basis but there's no way I'd ever want to get another contract deal with them again. I simply do not trust this company.

Nope. I believe they have UK based staff (Glasgow I think?) but have never spoken to them. They are normally OK and quite cheap, just if something goes wrong its terrible.

I've never talked to anyone other then those based in India with 3.

I just noticed they no longer ask you to complete a telephone survey after the call

They did have a Glasgow branch where you could speak to people, but they made us all redundant and downsized over to India. The staff over there ain't got a scooby.

Move to o2, you can talk to me there.

OMG My 3 Mobile Broadband now stopped working and day before I go on Holiday and really wanted to use it abroad. Their phone support is total rubbish and they add insult to injury by actually charging you to call their Broadband Experts who are totally useless.

Most of the time the guy on the phone just kept totally silent and I had to keep asking him if he's still there
