Styling crappy plastic wigs

I got one for a fancy dress party and it's great, but got all crumpled in the package, and I want to straighten it all back out.

It's made from that super-cheap plastic hair, so obv straighteners are out of the question. Anyone got any ideas if this is possible, and the best ways to go about it?

I need something stronger that hanging it up in a steamy room. Would dampening and a gentle blow dry work?

How about putting it in between two really heavy books and leaving over night?

After something a bit more 'styley' that just being dead straight. It's a really short bob with a fringe, and at the moment it makes me look a bit more like Myra Hindley than I'd like! Needs straightening and curling under. Not to worry, I'll put it on hub's head and experiment with the blow drying!
