Do you go for soft drinks?

Former MemberFormer Member Posts: 1,876,323 The Mix Honorary Guru
Schools and health education are discouraging children from soft drinks. Some canteens in educational establishments deliberately don't stock Coke or any other carbonated sugar drinks. More seen as bad for your teeth now, with high sugar content.

How often do you have soft drinks? I used to consume loads of the stuff, and managed to get myself off completely recently. More likely to buy a milk based drink from a newsagent today. About the only time I order Coke is at times socialising in a pub

I don't drink soft drinks except at parties (when mixing with alcohol), or the odd cup at mcdonalds, which isn't all that often.

At home I usually drink water diluted syrup. It's sweet, it's good, it's cheap and a bottle lasts forever.

I love soft drinks. Coca Cola and Pepsi, In fact I'm addicted to them.

When I have a hangover, the first thing I do is reach for a fizzy drink. It usually makes me sick, but I just cant help craving it.

If im ever getting a meal at McDonalds or something (not very often) half the time i'll have a coke, the rest i'll have water and that's about the only time i have soft drinks.

I prefer iced tea, water or juices/smoothies when im eating out. At home we only have milk, water, juices and iced tea in the fridge.

Only with alcohol. Jack/captian/whathaveyou and coke is usually the cheapest drink :p Besides that I only drink water. Water at home, water at resturants, water at mcdonalds, since that seems to be a popular one. I think water is absoutly delicious and juice and especially pop does not quench my thirst at all. The boyfriend is a pop addict and every once in a while if I'm feeling lazy I'll have a sip of his if I'm in need and it usually gives me the energy to get up and get myself a glass of water because I find the taste to be rather disgusting.

Mmmmm....for my job I cannot drink before work :(. so softie drink again
At work the heating is on full blast so I need another softie...but when I do not have to work I will have a pint.

Day to day I tend to drink tea and coffee rather than soft drinks but I do like coke (sometimes lemonade) as a mixer when I'm out. I also have a coke/7up when I'm at a fast food restaurant. When I'm out shopping I tend to get a bottle of water rather than pop.

I haven't drunk it for years now. Had Fanta for a stupid reason last week and it nearly drove me insane. I particularly hate how my teeth feel sugar coated. :yuck:

Yeah! Whats up with that. It feels like they are disentegrating away. My boyfriend likes to tell me all the things coke can do, like how well it works for getting rid of corresion on your car battery and removing rust and grease. And think of what its doing to your teeth and insides :p

I have NEVER drank a fizzy drink in my life. My first word was "coca cola" but I have never liked it  I drink orange or apple juice and then like cordial or just water. I love flavoured water and thats what I will buy if I am out and need a drink on the go. At McD's I'm partial to a milkshake or hot chocolate; but seeing as I'm eating all the crap that goes in the meal I don't really bother about what I'm drinking - just shove more crap inside me. I'll live :D

I used to drink them a lot more when I was younger. I dont like tea or coffee anyway so I hardly have any caffine in my system and I can really feel it when I have soft drinks.

Very, very, very rarely. And only non-carbonated ones, I hate carbonated drinks. Last time must have been at least 2 years ago, if not more than 3!
Even the supposedly non-carbonated ones that come in a can feel carbonated though...

I used to drink too much of it. I used to just drink it all the time, like have nothing else. I used to have about 3/4 bottles a week:eek:

But now I just try and drink Vimto squash, I love it. I have felt better for just drinking squash, I still have the odd fizzy pop, but not like I used to!

Do people think that fruit juices/juice drinks are any better than say coca cola?
