Will red wine be oxidised after being left open for a day? How exactly can you tell - is it a vinegary taste?

Sorry for putting this in the wrong place, just wanted an answer fairly soon! :)

    Christ, even the smell of that stuff makes me vomit now. I've drunk FAR too much of that stuff in my time.
