How to kindly refuse church?

Long story short: I've got a new boss as my old one is leaving this coming week. His understanding is awesome and I think he will do great as a boss. 2 days ago, he asked me if I wanted to go to Church with him this morning - I kindly rejected. To be fair, I'm happy with life, plus I'm often out on Saturdays day and/or night, so I like my Sunday lie-in's, like most people do! I hope that I don't get into a position where I feel pressurised, as he'll now have authority over me, where before, he didn't. So if he asks again, what would be the best way to go about saying that I'm not interested?

P.S. Although I'm athiest, I detest porn as well. So not being either of the 2, it probably makes me an easy target?

As for me old boss, don't even go there! Basically, if it had nothing to do with church/Christ, then he was very much anti-it. E.g. Expressing my interest towards Japanese manga, then the old boss brushing it aside "oh... that's all porn and paedophillia". Well, if he was that concerned, then why didn't he get the police onto me? Born-again Christianity.. sigh :-/
Beep boop. I'm a bot.

You could always kindly explain it as is, that you're not christian, if he's really a professional he shouldn't let personal believes affect his view of his employers. Of course I realise that some people unfortunately are very unprofessional and a are prone to mix private believes and work. If you have reason to think that the latter description suits him, then you can always do a little white lie and tell him that you're going to visit some family on that sunday. Many christians respect relationship to the family very highly, so that might just put him off ;)

Just be truthful mate. No sane person is going to react badly to you having your own religious beliefs when at the same time, they have an entitlement to have their own :).

My mate does he actually invited me to the alpha course this weekend.

Just say that you're not interested. As your boss, there islegislation against him discriminating or sacking you anyway.

A good Christian wouldn't force it upon you or be harsh... Most Christians I know are really nice people and know when no means know.

Well when you ask someone if they want to go out for a night out, and they say "no, I don't drink," you don't keep asking them. All he did was invite you to a social event. Maybe he thought you might be Christian. Tell him you're not religious and there's no reason to assume he'd ever ask you again.

I don't get this comment. Either of what two? Atheism doesn't necessitate any viewpoint on porn, you know?

Cheers guys. I thought I've already put a reply in this but haven't. As for the porn thing, my understanding that if you were religiously committed then porn is a no-no. You're either one or the other (or neither) but not both.
