Tomorrow I have to hand my notice in to my current boss after 3 months work.
I have been offered a great chance to move on in a better role with more money.
I just know my boss isn't going to take it well after a string of other people have left. So how to I break it gentley ?
Any ideas? I really don't want a bad atmosphere for my final few weeks.

I handed my notice in a week ago and I apologised for leaving them at a bad time. My department manager (and the staff on my dept) had known for a while that I was going to be leaving though but the main managers and personnel didn't.
You are entitled to move on to other jobs, you don't HAVE to stay just because some other people have left. After your last few weeks at work you don't need to see them again so just think about that
Ive only had a few pints
No point breaking it gently, just give it to them straight.

Good luck. I seem to have had lots of practice at handing my notice in; its interesting to see the reaction of managers.
