Has anyone been inspired to learn a sport in time for 2012?

where can you find a list of what sports are on in 2012?

I'm stuck between synchronized swimming and speed walking.

Unfortunatly for my womanlyness, speed walking does seem to be such a manly sport and I'm not sure if I can pull it off!

I'm thinking about taking up swimming again, I used to go to the same place as becky adlington and I got quite good at it. But being a kid i got bored of it and quit. I dunno if there are any swimming baths near my campus though.
I might also take up horse riding again, there's stables at my campus (there are a few equine courses) and i think there's a club that anyone can join so i'll see about that too.

did think about taking up taekwondo but i think i may be at a disadvantage to those that are somewhat taller I.e. everyone else. Archery was something i used to be really into and quite good at...

But no, i can see myself possibly being roped into doing some work for london 2012 stuff, considering there are going to be loads of audio visual things. just as long as i get paid i don't really care!

    BMX! Did anyone see that?

I chuckled a lot seeing those big guys on those small bikes. However, there were only 16 girls competing this time around so if I practice hard, maybe I can qualify on behalf of Iceland! ;)

Failing that, I'll train my horse for Dressage or do mountain biking.

It'd also be super to compete in volleyball knowing how many were oogling my arse while I was playing. :thumb:

    So many options. :o

There's no way I'd actually do any sports for anything, but I would like to go and see something, especially since it will be my 30th Birthday that summer :D
