When you arrange for a direct debit to come out on a certain date, say 12th, can they take it out any day or does it have to be the 12?!

    If you arrange beforehand with your bank to have a DD taken out on the 12th then they should pay it out on the 12th of every month. Unless it falls on a weekend or, a national holiday. What happens then is your bank either pays it early or late. Check it out with them first.
