I want to buy something which in total will cost about £36 from Jersey - I can't seem to figure out if I might be stung for tax, import duty , etc - just a small electrical device. - Anyone order much stuff from Jersey?

From what I've read anything you import from anywhere in the world that is under £18 you pay no tax.

However some companies in Jersey I think can opt to pay the tax for goods sent to the UK and they have a special stamp on their packages.

It really depends, if there is no indication of the value of the item on the box then its very likely to get through customs without a charge.
