Has anyone stopped watching Neighbours since it moved to Ch5?

Was abroad when it moved across and now that I watch it I don't enjoy it as much as I used to - nothing to do with commercials - it's got a totally different feel to it.

Watched it on and off on BBC1. Would watch it for a spell then stop and eventually go back to it. Once I knew Five had the rights to it I knew I'd never watch it and I don't.

Something to do with the camera work innit.

Except I'd assume the camera work is the same.

I've always wondered if 5 broadcast a differenrt contrast or resolution or quality, or something because it seems you can always tell a programme that's on 5.

I'm ashamed to say, I've grown quite fond of the ad break, tis very handy!

They've applied an effect similar to Filmzing to the episodes - It's an effect to make it more film-like. But also may have to them moving to film Neighbours in Hi Def and having to down sample it to current TV standards.

Whatever they're doing I don't really like it

I haven't watched it for a while in the UK, but I've been watching it pretty much daily in Australia...they are like a year ahead over there too. :D
Each Neighbours episode has about 3 ad breaks in Aus... :banghead:

According to WikiPedia - In the UK it's 57 episodes difference not a year.

At 5 times a week it's about 3 months difference

He's in House now. I laughed a lot when I worked out who he was.

Channel 5 show it in the same format that they receive it from Australia. It was the BBC that applied the bright colouring to it (or it was added by the Australia people for the BBC or something.)
