Does anyone know of any hosting companies that can host Java Server Pages?
Somewhere not *too* expensive, and with a MySQL (or similar) database.

Well, servlets require processor time on the server rather than just space, so those kind of hosting packages do tend to cost a little more.

Have you a preference out of WinNT type servers or Unix ones?

    Didn't think of processor usage... <IMG SRC="rolleyes.gif" border="0" ALT="icon">

I'm definitely in favour of UNIX servers!

But the I expect it to be expensive...I might just try developing stuff on a local server (Apache 1.3 and Win2000), it's for learning, really.

    cheers

I know you can get UNIX shell accounts for as little as $10 per month, and if it were just for learning then such an account with a limit of 3-5 processes would probably be all you needed, and able to be used for other projects later too.

    I see.

I've downloaded Tomcat so I can use my machine, which is running Apache etc. and use JSPs.

    Thanks for the advice anyway! <IMG SRC="smile.gif" border="0" ALT="icon">
