ISP?

Right here we go,

My girlfriend is thinkin about joinin the "internet revolution" and all this crap. Anyways she asked me about which ISP she should get onto (me being someone who knows about this sort of thing). I've checked all the big ones (AOL, BT, Freeserve etc) already.

I was wanting to know if theres any I may have missed? She just wants to be able to get on the net - maybe just an evening and weekends thing at first. What IPS do you all use and would you recommend them to a "light user". Oh and another thing - we're both very anti AOL...

NTL have this light user thing that is totally free, I think? I'm not sure, I'm on BT but have heard a few people talking about NTL net access.

I'm on NTL broadband. You are best to go with BT or NTL as they offer the best access packages, suchg as 24/7 or evenings and weekends for a monthly charge. STAY AWAY FROM AOL, it does strange things to your pc.

I've done a fair bit of research so far and at the moment i'm starting to swing towards Freeserve. Haven't looked properly at NTL yet though...

Keep the suggestions coming though <IMG alt="image" SRC="http://www.thesite.org/ubb/biggrin.gif">

BT Openworld - never let me down, and goes on my phonebill so I pay it as part of that...

Tried Compuserve, but hassle all the time, AOL is too big...

Free ISPs are okay if you aren't online much, paying by the minute can get seriously expensive. How often do you sit there for hours at a time?

Your best bet is to go for a provider that gives you net access 24/7, it is the cheapest way.
