I have to admit I did think of causing some mischief but I was scared I would be chucked off! No idea what was going on!

It would have been quite funny to go and post in the sex forum...so squinty, do I deserve a reward for being so responsible and mature? ;-)

Making money online is simple, but not necessarily easy.

There used to be loads of programs that paid you just to surf, and added banner adverts to your browser while you did. They hoped that users would click on the adverts often enough to make advertisers pay big bucks to advertise that way. As you can guess, it didn't work.

There are still several that pay you a teeny amount to add adverts to your emails (like mailround does), but these too are not really making a profit and probably won't last. You certainly are not gonna make decent money this way.

Next up are sites that pay you to contribute something, like reviews or stories, or whatever. The original best known of these is Epinions.com but that hasn't yet become profitable, and the payments are now very very small compared to what they were.

In the UK and Europe, there are two main sites, www.dooyoo.com and www.ciao.com which pay for you to write opinions/reviews of products, books, games or services you have used, and so build up a consumer resource. Of the two, dooyoo pays much better, but some users find ciao easier to get into, as the writing standards are a little lower generally.

Next step up from there is affiliate programs, etc. This is rather like multi-level marketing and has many pitfalls. The way to make it work though is to build up a good site, with great content, and then find just a few sponsors (affiliate programs) that match the kind of audience your site attracts.

Naturally, that requires the most work, but in return can pay the most. There's no such thing as a free lunch, and no such thing as 'easy money'. Whenever anyone tries to tell you how you can make easy money, they are almost always simply trying to talk you out of some.

For money to come to you, it has to come out of someone else's pockets, and that means you have to really offer something, a real deal of some kind. You'd be amazed how many big businesses didn't realise that simple lesson.

If its okay with the Moderators, I'd like to offer two links to further info on this topic.

How to make real money online
    and
How to make a million dollars - guaranteed

I make my entire living online, and have done for a few years now. It involves hard work and in my case it meant mastering new ideas and gaining expertise in a new and changing marketplace. If I could do it, then so can others.
