A.I. - what are those fish doing?

Strange film: artistic genius that will define a generation and teach us there is nothing stronger than the love of a child, 'Biocentenial Man 2: Morals Behind Technology' or a pile of crap?
I am a big Speilberg, Kubrick and Jude Law fan but A.I. was a bit much. Some of it I liked, such as Teddie. But come on, "...then two thousand years passed under the ice...". Speilberg, your better than that.
Was the Dr Know thing Robin Williams (last question). Those alien/robots where a disaster, and why do those fish swim around 'Hailey' or David when he is in the water, creating a current to carry him to the fairy? At the end I was hoping that somebody would have mercy and just switch him off.
I could believe E.T. making a bike fly, but those vortex creating fish? No no no. They ruined it.
Am I a film Nazi? What did the rest of you think? "Planet of the Apes" was bad, as was "Fast and Furious". I need a good movie, only "Resident Evil", "Lord of the Rings" and the new "Star Wars" can save me!
A.I. -the best bad movie I have ever seen.

Is anyone else worried that the film only gave humans another 2000yrs b4 dying out completely? Can an ice age that wipes out all life occur and recede in such a short space of time? I dunno, I don't think it helped to read into it too much after the fairy bit.
If he was so damn smart and advanced, u'd think he'd b able to tell the difference between plastic and a real fairy!
And how come they could only get her back 4 1 day? Why not recreate her everyday? Who knows!
etc,etc,etc <IMG alt="image" SRC="http://www.thesite.org/ubb/smile.gif">
He must've got some decent duracel battaries- 2000 years and he just gets up! Those aliens could've just simulated his mother if they are so advanced, her DNA only lasted for a day when they re-created her. It was a shit ending!
I reckon humans could survive an ice-age, in 2000 years there must be better technology to produce food, heat, etc.
Teddy was damn cool. I want one!
as for teddy am with u on that one Captain Kirk...he was so sweet!
by the end of A.I i was hoping david would malfunction, it just wasnt to be tho <IMG alt="image" SRC="http://www.thesite.org/ubb/frown.gif">

weird-assed ending, anyway.
Teddy was the coolest thing about that film, but I'd want one of those cube-ship things too!
Back to the topic, why do those fish swim about and carry his mechanical ass to the fairy after he drops off the building? Wierd film.
You doin psychology, Kirk? I did that at uni. You're right, some of the coursework sucks. We had to do this one lab were we had to count the number of times one pig in a pen touched it's snout to the other pigs. Jeeze! Glamerous job that.
