water retention....

just a quick question, didn't want to derail the other thread. I can usually tell when im bloated, but how do you tell water retention?? really got no idea...

    It's difficult for me to say. I can tell when I've been retaining water a couple of days previously because I pee a lot, or I don't pee very much in the morning during days where I'm retaining. It's not really a physical thing for me besides feeling fuller and sometimes looking it. Not sure how helpful that is to you! I also retain a lot of water coming up to my period, a friend of mine can weigh 4lbs heavier during that time!
