If you get printable tickets you get vouchers for free food at the event.

I was there the first two years and even popped in last year with Astrid because my pal is a "VIP" (whatever that's supposed to mean, ha ha). Was funny, the only celebrities who it was possible to meet were Maximo Park and that's nothing new for the entire pub-going population of Newcastle  Met The Proclaimers the year before though which was a laugh.

Anyway I can't believe they're charging this year. I appreciate it's charitable (well, part of it) but that wasn't the point of the festival so I think it's a bit shit. Was supposed to be for the community, for people to come and go as they please. Not sure if I'd be going if we were in the area but we'll be safely ensconced in Berlin then anyway so it's a moot point. Think Kate Nash is overrated shite anyway and none of the others really inspire me either so... blah.

However it is in very close proximity of the Cumberland, Tyne and Free Trade which are the best pubs in Newcastle. Get your drinking hats on! :D

    Anyone else?
I'm debating whether or not to stay in the hostel on Grainger Street. With it being bank holiday the taxis will be too expensive unless I talk a mate into coming and sharing a taxi home. If I don;t stay or egt a taxi I'll be getting the bus home at 4/5pm and the festivals ends at 11pm-ish

I've got tickets for this and a couple of friends are coming up from Lancaster Uni for it, should be a good day out. What's this about free food vouchers? We got printable tickets, don't see anything about free food on there though :S.
