I love The Simpsons .... too many things to list though, but they're just hilariously funny. <IMG alt="image" SRC="http://www.thesite.org/ubb/cool.gif"&gt; <IMG alt="image" SRC="http://www.thesite.org/ubb/biggrin.gif"&gt;

    yeh the simps are well cool, they just remind u of a typical dysfunctional american family, hehe. bart is wicked, he reminds me of a male version of myself about 5 years ago <IMG alt="image" SRC="http://www.thesite.org/ubb/biggrin.gif"&gt;

    They're funny, yes. But having seen each and every episode at least 5 million times, I think they've just become boring.

    Has anyone else noticed that Sky repeat the same episode within 2 weeks of each other? I mean, they've got like 3 or 4 seasons to choose from, and yet they insist on showing about 9 different episodes. And cos I watch it so irregularly now, I often miss out on the brand new ones. Grrrrrr...

    I really love the simpsons fave character has to be homer or bart.
    I love the Halloween special ones.

    Also love Futurama.. not as funny but still very good.

    Yeah Turtle i know EXACTLY what you mean !!

    I got Sky for primarily cos it had The Simpsons on every day, but you do sit there and say ' awwww, that was on not so long ago ' .... then again it's normally hilarious so you dont mind <IMG alt="image" SRC="http://www.thesite.org/ubb/biggrin.gif"&gt;

    The 'X- files' epsiode was one of the best i think.

    The bit where Mulder and Scully have Homer wired upto the Lie Detecor and say:

    'OK, Mr Simpson do you understand?'

    Homer goes ' Suuuuuuuure'

    then the Lie Detector blows up <IMG alt="image" SRC="http://www.thesite.org/ubb/biggrin.gif"&gt; <IMG alt="image" SRC="http://www.thesite.org/ubb/biggrin.gif"&gt; <IMG alt="image" SRC="http://www.thesite.org/ubb/biggrin.gif"&gt;

    .. ot just that entire episode to be honest !! lol

    OK, i'll stop sounding like an anorak now ...... <IMG alt="image" SRC="http://www.thesite.org/ubb/rolleyes.gif"&gt;

    Yeah, futurama innae bad. Same creator (altho EVERYONE knows that, right? <IMG alt="image" SRC="http://www.thesite.org/ubb/biggrin.gif">)

    love bender, can sorta relate to fry as well sometimes <IMG alt="image" SRC="http://www.thesite.org/ubb/smile.gif"&gt; i think the best part tho is the take on the future, it was certainly very well planned out.

    and yeah alza, the x-files episode is pretty damn good. and the YAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! bit where he runs thru the field <IMG alt="image" SRC="http://www.thesite.org/ubb/biggrin.gif"&gt; lmao!

    Yeah SKY used to say ' and now Futurama .. which is made by The Simpsons creator' lol

    Better than that Star Trek crap that Sky squeeze into every space on Sky One, or Star Trek One as it should be called <IMG alt="image" SRC="http://www.thesite.org/ubb/mad.gif"&gt;

    yep, the simpsons: the original and best <IMG alt="image" SRC="http://www.thesite.org/ubb/biggrin.gif">. forever.

    even stuff like south park (which is cool) doesnt even come close to the simpsons. altho i do see the point where sky one repeat the same ones a bit too often

    Simpsons used to be a laff... but like everything that is overused it becomes not so good and boring. Always the same stuff these days, old ideas, dun work for me anymore.

    I tried to watch the 1st season of Futurama. Wasn't too bad at all <IMG alt="image" SRC="http://www.thesite.org/ubb/smile.gif"&gt; Something fresh, this time I'll try not to watch it too much so it wont end up like the Simpsons. <IMG alt="image" SRC="http://www.thesite.org/ubb/smile.gif"&gt;

    The Simpsons are the absolute best.

    It's currently the longest running sitcom still on tv. And all the principle voices just signed new two year contracts, so there will be at least 44 more episodes. <IMG alt="image" SRC="http://www.thesite.org/ubb/smile.gif"&gt;

    Apparently the contracts also had provisions for a Simpsons movie...

    Simpsons and Futurama - both cool but recent episodes of the Simpsons haven't been nearly as good as originals - humour and script still there but methinks they're scraping the bottom of the idea barrel now.
  • Former MemberFormer Member Posts: 1,876,323 The Mix Honorary Guru
    Yep, the bottom of the ideas barrel IS getting scraped a lot lol .. i guess they think we'll all still watch The Simpsons regardless of it's a crap script or not.

    TBH there isn't anything THAT much like The Simpons on telly so i guess we'll all stick with it anyways - at the end of the day it's still a damn funny cartoon <IMG alt="image" SRC="http://www.thesite.org/ubb/biggrin.gif"&gt;

    not quite...Auntie get the pick of the first 4 or 5 seasons i think, and Sky have the rights to the rest.

    hmm..a simpons movie. pretty cool, IF they can pull it off.

    agree chickadee, but there's always one or two epsidoes a year that make up for the other 20 crap ones. that's y we still watch... cause the writers get inspired once or twice.. <IMG alt="image" SRC="http://www.thesite.org/ubb/smile.gif"&gt;
