Appealing against bad grades

Hello

I'm starting to research a new article for thesite about appealing against bad or unfair grades.

Has anyone here ever got a really bad grade in an exam or a peice of coursework that you didn't think you deserved or was wrong?

Did you appeal against it?

For example :

When I was in sixth form some of my friends who were doing Maths A-Level appealed against a question on their exam. It turned out that the question was actually impossible and it was deducted from the total mark. For some friends it meant the difference between getting an A instead of a B.:crazyeyes

Do you have any similar stories?

Cheers :thumb:

for those at university - the first step is ALWAYS ASAP to speak to the tutor dishing out the grade before it goes to the official boards... can save on a hell of a lot of paperwork!
