What is the best way for someone to go about being tested for dyslexia?
Is it possible to go through your doctor or even the university?

If yuo're a student best thing is to get in touch with the Student Support Centre/Disability Resource centre/whatever your uni calls it.

Will they do the test for free?
On some site it says you have to pay anything from £100-£400

    That depends on the uni.

If you go and talk to them, they will explain the process and how it works at your uni. At mine, technically the full assessment has to be paid for, but they will do an initial pre assesment thing themselves and that is free, and then they find funding for the full one if you need it.
