I know I should know this, but I really can't remember :banghead: :

In an essay if you use two quotes from the same source one after the other, what do you put in the second footnote? I know there's a special word for it but can't remember what it is.

Please help!

And "Op Cit" with author's name if you're referencing the same book but they're not together.

Really? I've never heard of that one. Anyway, thanks for the help, but I handed the essay in earlier. I'll remember it for next time.

Ahhh, no more essays for a few weeks, except my dissertation :( oh well!

If you use a style of referencing without footnotes do you still put ibid? I haven't come across it personally. (We're advised to put the author, book year and where necessary page number immediately after the idea / quote / concept we're attributing to them, and then at the end have a harvard style bibliography)

Supra can also be used to refer to an earlier note.
