Side effects of stopping the pill

A couple days after I stopped taking the pill I got really super uncomfortably dry. Not sexually, just regularly. It's terrible, I've tried personal moistuirzer and that helps a bit, but it comes back. Since of when it started I assumed it might have been related. Can this happen, and if its from that, when in the world is it going to go away
