    You congratulate someone on getting pregnant or achieving something, not for having managed to cross the road properly/not choke on their food/not catch on fire for a year.

    Its funny that. I have the word 'Congratulations' on loads of my 21st birthday cards.

    I do think one good thing about having a King or Queen is it brings a sense of stability to a nation - Prime minsters will come and go and it seems like the major parties all seem to change their leaders every year these days.

    A King or Queen is in it for the long haul and can be a good ambassador for a country.

    I agree. Spain, Norway etc have a good relationship with their Royal families and I know some changes need to be made, but I don't see why we can't too.
