Alternative to Fn Laptop Key

The Fn Key on my friends Packard Bell :yuck: Laptop has stopped working, we think she may have spilt something in it and fucked it up. Now the wireless/volume etc can't be used, I've searched high and low on Google to find an alternative key combo etc but can't find anything.

Any ideas?

    Have you actually tried taking it to pieces and cleaning under the keyboard?

    On screen keyboard didnt have Fn on it.
    We've had it taken to pieces but its completely dead and new keyboard needed.
    Oh well!
