I prefer playing games on the PC because the graphics are just breathtaking! They are cheaper and we don't need to buy a new PC to play the latest games.

I prefer consoles because I like the controllers and the fact that they are so easily acessable.
The drawback's are price, and 'out-of-the-box' playability. I have a playstation, N64 and a PC, and find myself playing playstation / N64 with my mates, and PC on my own.
Gonna get a Playstation2 soon, or might wait for the X-Box (can't really trust Microsoft though!), but i recommend PC if you can afford a decent system.
All time top games
***Sensible Soccer*** - Amiga
Manic Miner - PSX
Gran Turismo - PSX
Final Fanytasy Series - PSX
Simcity, Sims, Any MAXIS - PC/AMiga/PSX
Goldeneye - N64
Mario Kart64 - N64
Settlers3 - PC
Halflife - PC
Doom2 - PC
Tetris - Gameboy

You can get controllers for PCs, and Microsoft are even getting thier act together on making them work for games.
The cost of a PC is hopeless if you're just going to use as a console, but if you need it for other things it doesn't cost much to keep it up to scratch for games.
If sony were a little more cooperative, you'ld be able to play playstation games on PC. As it is it seems sony sue you if your player gets too good.
You can apparently play N64 games, but only if you can get someone to give you a software copy of the cart.
If you don't know where you're going, you'll probably end up somewhere else.
