Question About Getting A Doctor's Note

Former MemberFormer Member Posts: 1,876,323 The Mix Honorary Guru
I went to the doctors on Thursday and got refered to a physiotherapist. Whilst I was there, I forgot to ask if it was possible for me to be signed off sick. (as I'm currently in alot of pain and have been for the last few months or so)

My questions are:
- Do I need to make another appointment to get a note, or can I just phone up and get the receptionist to sort it out?
- Can the physiotherapist give me a note if (for whatever reason) I can't get one from the doctor?

For the first week you can self certify.

From what I know the forms have to come from the doctor rather than the physio. You may find that the physio can ask the doctor to write one rather than needing to use another doctors appoitment,

Try ringing the GP they will advise what their arrangements are - NB no a physio can't certify you.
