The Royal Family has a steep history of sex and sleaze. No surprises there then, my money's on the Queen. ;)

I don't think it's going to be difficult to guess what'll be the most search for term on youtube for the next couple of weeks...

Person gives oral sex and takes small amount of illegal drugs.

    Hold the front page.

The Royal Family can try all they like to keep this out of the mainstream media, (television, newspapers etc) but the details will eventually leak out on the Internet. They always do. It would do the monarchy some good if, for once, instead of trying to conceal the story until it comes out online, they put it out there themselves.

In any case, it's not as if the Royal Family has never seen a sex and drugs "scandal" before.

My money's on the Queen, or maybe Prince Phillip.

That'd be by far the funniest....

I was going to say regardless of the blackmail issue the Royal featured in the video should be charged for drug offences, but seeing as no celebrity ever is it's probably just as well that nothing will happen to Har... to 'them'.

Oh dear. Maybe the whole thing is a setup to get some money out of them? I've been watching too much spooks.
Well, The Queen, with a personal fortune of £280million (this figure came from a survey by Forbes magazine) can hardly complain she's short of a few bob. The sort of money these blackmailers wanted is practically small change to her.

Just because she has lots of money doesnt make blackmailing right does it?

Well, if it did, I think we'd all be doing it. Now if you'll excuse me, I've got to get on with this letter I'm in the middle of. It's being sent to some guy called Jim Valentine... never met him, but I'm told he's a moderator for a web forum, who gets paid an absolute fortune. I'm sure he can spare me a couple of his £50 notes... :p

They were saying this morning the royal in question is a very minor one and I can believe it judging by the amount the blackmailers were asking. Had it been William or Harry instead you could expect the blackmailers to have asked for a good six-figure sum at the least.

Is it possible to charge someone on video evidence of them snorting a "white substance"? I thought they had to be caught in possession of it.

    What drug offence?

It isn't illegal to take drugs, only to be in possession of them. And you'd have to prove it was an illegal drug.

People keep saying this as if it means something.

Yes, she has assets of about that amount, but that is mostly to do with the land that the Windsors own- Balmoral, Windsor Castle, and the like.

It's not real money. I mean, come on, she can't exactly sell off Windsor Castle and turn it into luxury flats, can she?

Tell that to Kate Moss. That they couldn't prove it was an illegal drug was the only thing that eventually saved her from prosecution when that footage was sold to the press. Not that it stopped them from trying. I remember the tabloids being enraged at naughty Katey escaping justice. I wonder if we will hear the same cries for justice this time round...
