Which films...

... have made or never fail to make you weep at sad parts? (NO sarcastic things like you cried because a film was so bad!)
For me, it is two parts in two films...

1. Armageddon, where Bruce Willis has to say goodbye to his daughter. There's a personal story with that-I'd gone to see it with my cousin and his mate. For a 16 year old boy, taking your 11 year old cousin to the cinema with your mate is embarrassing enough, but when she starts crying? He kept telling me to shut up! His friend was more sympathetic.

2. Titanic (I know, but I just watched it!) where Jack dies! Sniff blub. And the part at the end where she gives her name as Rose Dawson. Aaaw.

3. I just remembered the power of Disney. Lion King, where Simba's dad gets killed I wept my pre teen heart out!

How about you all?

Gone with the wind does it for me.

And splendour in the grass with Natalie Wood.

    1. Bambi (although haven't watched it for ages) when his mother is shot. Somestimes its what you don't see which affects you the most.

    2. My Girl - when she finds out he's died! Oh my god, I could cry for days!

    3. LOTR - when Boromir dies! I could see if coming (duh!) but it still choked me up!

OMG! I forgot that! And when Gandalf falls down that hole!
I agree about Bambi, Disney just does that to you doesn't it?

A film with Robin Williams in it called "What dreams may come." It's not a film to watch if you feel depressed but it is brilliant. V. heartrenching.

Braveheart also gets me every time.

Moulin Rouge got me really upset the second time I watched it.

I also used to cry at Gladiators (the corny TV gameshow, not the movie), when the contestants burst through the paper screens. So emotional!

Being male I rarely show my emotions. Only one film has succeeded so far, and that was the green mile when they executed John Coffey

I rarely cry at TV programmes... in fact, I never have! I blame my sentimentality in regards to films on my mother!

Have we had this discussion recently or am I imagining that I've answered it?!?! Oh well, nm, it uses up another post on my long road to non-newbie status...
    1) Pearl Harbour. So so predictable. So so sad!
    2) Armaggedeon (sp?). *tears come to eyes just thinking*
    3) Stepmom. Saw it the other day and OMG. It was horrible- I was seriously crying properly for sooo long.
    4) OK I'm gonna give up now due to there being far too many!!!

I haven't cried watching a movie but I've felt very emotional watching Armageddon. I wasn't bothered when he blew himself up. It was when that spaceman guy said "I wanna shake hands with the daughter of the bravest man I've known" or something like that when I got a little upset.

And The Green Mile is pretty upsetting.
