Gazelle Media is producing a series of online discussion shows about various Islamic issues. Here are the details:

Muslim Cafe tackles three different issues in each show with a panel of about four or five people discussing each one. Every panel will feature a mixture of people and opinions and we hope for a balanced discussion due to this. The series has already garnered a significant amount of mainstream media attention, with articles in the Guardian and Time Out.

Our next edition will feature discussions on the following:

1. Muslims just want to have fun: What do Muslims do for fun, what are the alternatives to clubbing, drinking, dating etc, why do non-Muslims think that Muslims don't have fun? At the moment we are looking for:

* Muslims who feel they are maintaining their faith and living a fun social life.

* Secular Muslims who do go out clubbing, drinking and socialise mainly with non-Muslims.

* Non-Muslims who have an impression of Islam as a constrictive faith.

2. Taking off the hijab: Why some Muslim women have chosen to stop wearing the hijab (headscarf) and the varying reasons for doing. At the moment we are looking for:

* Muslim women who feel they are made to feel guilty for NOT wearing a hijab.

* Non-muslims who have strong opinions about whether a woman wears a hijab, what ever they may be.

3. Muslim Schools - What are the positives and negatives of going to a Muslim school in Britain, should there be any faith schools in Britain? At the moment we are looking for:

* Students/former students of any faith school who have had good and bad experiences.

For every subject we are looking for people with strong opinions who can communicate well and would relish the idea of discussing the above issues with a variety of people in an informal setting.

Filming will take place on Saturday 20th October in Covent Garden and will last no longer than an hour. Refreshments will be provided.

If you are interested and feel you would be suitable please contact me at sofia@gazellemedia.co.uk. Please let me know a bit about you and leave a contact number.

Are we allowed to be politically incorrect in this discussion?
