Headaches

Former MemberFormer Member Posts: 1,876,323 The Mix Honorary Guru
Why am I getting so many headaches lately?

I must be on about 6 paracetamol's a day at the moment, they seem to stop my headache for a bit then it starts again.

Its only in the last couple of weeks I have been getting them a few times a day.

It cant be caffeine withdrawal either, as I'm still drinking caffeine. Daren't come off it yet :D

Have you suddenly stopped drinking as much water as you used to? Dehydration can cause pretty often headaches.

You really shouldnt be taking that many parcatamol over a long period to treat them, if theres no basic cause its worth going to your GPs.

Ain't really changed my water consumption.

But I'm around computers and TV's practically all day every day. But that hasn't changed recently.

Continually taking paracetamol can cause headaches! They're called rebound headaches.

Try not taking it for a few days and see if it helps :)

    what I was thinking.

Otherwise, could be stress or something? If they carry on, go see your doc.

I used to get this alot too, I'm really not sure what causes it.

If you're getting headaches try taking a break from what you're doing for a few minutes and relax. Stress is an easy way to bring on intense and frequent headaches.

Stupid question but has the lighting around them changed at all? I went from working in an office with decent lighting to a badly lit one. Caused quite a few headaches (from eye strain) until I got used to it.

Your eyes are probably strained for looking at the computer all day..it happends to me sometimes if I sit at the computer for a long time..
