You're an '80s child if..........;

* Snap bracelets were always getting you in trouble at school.
* You played with My Little Ponies/MASK figures
* Friendship bracelets were ties that couldn't be broken.
* You ever read Nancy Drew, The Hardy Boys, The Babysitters Club, or Sweet Valley High
* You know all the words to "Ice Ice Baby."
* You wanted to be The Hulk for Halloween
* You had a crush on one of the New Kids on the Block members.
* You wanted to be on Jim'll Fix It
* You can remember what Michael Jackson looked like before he had plastic surgery.
* You wore a banana clip or one of those slap-on wrist bands at some
point...or heaven forbid one of those T-shirt rings on one side during your youth.
* You wore multiple pairs of socks (or legwarmers) in the middle of summer just so you could be "hip."
* You ever owned a shell suit.
* You had slouch socks and puff painted your own shirt at least once.
* You know the profound meaning of "Wax on, Wax off."
* You were upset when She-ra, Princess of Power, and He-Man got cancelled.
* You know the words to the Dog Tanian theme tune
* You can remember watching Full House and Saved by the Bell for endless
hours, back when they were new episodes.
* You have seen at least 10 episodes of Fraggle Rock.
* You hold a special place in your heart for "Back to the Future."
* You had a reversable jumper.
* You know where to go " where everybody knows your name."
* You wanted to be a Goonie. ("Goonies never say die.")
* You remember Madonna in her cone stage.
* You knew "The Artist" when he was humbly called "Prince."
* You even wore flourescent-neon clothing... (if you can call it clothing!)
* You could breakdance, or wished you could.
* You remember when ATARI was a state of the art video game system.
* You remember M.C. Hammer.
* You can still sing the rap to "Fresh Prince of Bel Air"
* You remember when it was Jazzy Jeff and the Fresh Prince and NOT Will
Smith!
* You own any cassettes.
* You owned a pair of L.A. Gear, Keds, or Converse tennis shoes.
* You carried your lunch to school in a Gremlins or an ET lunchbox.
* You have ever pondered why Smurfette was the ONLY female smurf.
* My Little Pony, Gummy Bears and Transformers are familiar to you.
* You ever had a Swatch Watch.
* You actually spent countless hours trying to perfect the "Care Bear stare."
* You had Wonder Woman or Superman undies.
* You believed that "By the power of Greyskull, you HAD the power!"
* You thought that Transformers were more than meets the eye.
* You spent hours in the basement building and re-building Lego cities.
* Big wheels and BMX's were the way to go.
* You ever played Thundercats or Dungeons and Dragons at school
* With your pink (or blue) portable tape player, you sang back up to Kylie
and Jason!
* Party like it's 1999" seemed SO far away!!
* You wore acid washed jeans Sported at least one tye dyed shirt Jean
cutoffs, or cut sweathsirts seemed -really- cool Scooters were in
* If you ever owned Polly Pocket or Mirco Machines

I still miss He-Man, his cat was called Cringer until it changed into Battle-Cat. Jesus, does this scare anybody else?

Did anybody else have a 'Global Hypercolour' t-shirt that changed colours as it got hot when you put it on. They usually only worked until you had washed them three times. A real '80s child would've also sported a side-parting and disgusting knitted jumper. My old photos make me look like such a nerd, beeing born in '81 was almost criminal.

I got one for my birthday one year! It was pink and purple and everyone in my class wrote on it. It was, like, THE best present ever!

I knew so many people who used to whip out their hairdryers when they felt the need for a different coloured t-shirt.

Bad thing about those T-shirts.. I remember one guy in that wore the same one every time we had PE and after a few weeks the armpits were permanently pink while the rest of the T-shirt stayed purple!

Didn'y know where to put this. Either Childhood memories or here but at teh tim ehtis is top of entertainment so...

...does anyone remember "The Littlest Hobbo"

"There's a voice that keeps on calling me.
Down the road, that's where I'll always be.
Oh, every stop I make, I make a new friend.
Can't stay for long, just turn around and I'm gone again..."

    Classic! <IMG alt="image" SRC="http://www.thesite.org/ubb/biggrin.gif">
"So, if you want to join me for awhile,
Just grab your hat, and we'll travel light.
    That's hobo style..."

"Maybe tomorrow, I'll want to settle down.
Until tomorrow, I'll just keep movin' on.
Until tomorrow, the whole world is my home..."

You think you've got problems. I was a teenager through most of that!

That would be Orcal, the gay flaoting wizard chum of Adam. Adam turned into He-man. His cat was called Cringger and that turned into Battle-Cat. Skeletor also had a cat, WHAT WAS IT CALLED?

Indeed, it could've been Wordsworth, but I thought that was the dogs name on the Dream Patrol cartoon. Two cartoon dogs called Wordsworth? What are the chances.

The highlight of the 1980's (or was it the 90's?) were the Teenage Mutant Hero (Ninja) Turtles. The government wouldn't let the show have 'ninja' in the title... pathetic.

When I was little I loved Care Bears, My Little Pony and The Fraggles. I had My Little Pony wallpaper, bedcovers, lampshade and and curtains.
I distinctly remember wearing neon yellow and pink fluffy socks, and I had neon pink and black striped gloves too.
I hate the current 80s revival and I am reluctant to wear any of the fashions because they were clothes I was forced to wear as a child. Anyone remember striped rugby shirts? I had one in orange and a green one.
I was born in 84 so I was a bit young but I still remember a lot of it.

Weren't the Care Bears fab...and the spin off The Care Bear Cousins.

I also remember going to see Barbie and the Rock Stars live in Glasgow. Do any of you remember when she released "Dressing up?"

I actually think I still have the record.
