Following on from the post about 'Best Live Act in 2001', what is the Best live act ever?
For me, it would have to be when I saw Prodigy at the CIA in 1997. So much energy in their performance, was easily the best gig I've ever been too and I could possibly say ever go too (bit of guess work there!). What a night!
Oh and to top it off even more... who were the support act. Foo Fighters. Need I say more!
Two great bands/groups - 1 great night.
Whats your best?

The best DJ though, at putting on a show has to be Mark EG. Quality mad fucker!
idlewild at shepherds bush was mental,
stereophonics at morfa was my favourite as it was my first.
Rage Against the Machine were jaw-dropping at Leeds 2000 too. Festivals rock!
Radiohead Aug 2001 @Hollywood Bowl
Rage Against the Machine 1996-@Universal Ampitheatre, Universal City, CA
Smashing Pumpkins & Garbage @ Anaheim Pond
Lollapalloza '96 (Wu Tang, Ramones, Metallica, Rancid, Soundgarden, others)
Woodstock '99
2. LIT - Meanfiddler - Feb 2002
3. Limp Bizkit - Wembley Arena - June 2001 (i don't care what you say, limp bizkit were bloody amazing live)
many many other bands i've seen live have been good too, including System of a Down, Disturbed and papa Roach, but these stand out.
I saw Queen live in 1984, fucking awsome. No-one could contorl a crowd the way Freddie could.
I've also seen The Who, and can only wish I had seen them when Keith Moon was alive (and I'll bet none of you even know who he was - bloody kids), he was totally outrageous.
Perhaps this thread should be the "best live act in my lifetime..."
Oh, FYI, I agree with most of your posts, the choices are some pretty cool bands...I just wouldn't say they were the best ever
That is my 2nd best ever 1st is Ash at Demontfort Hall
Though I am sooooo sad that I never got to see Skunk Anansie, they were my favourite band ever, and now they have split <IMG SRC="frown.gif" border="0" ALT="frown"> *1 minutes silence* But i hope that Skin will go touring solo, and then I will sure buy front row tickets!!!
