    i live in devon and i usually get there about friday lunch time, there is always room for a tent, but i don't do tents anymore and there is only about 3 good bands there this year, so i won't get there till friday night/saturday morning.

    i cant imagine ill be there on thursday at all, since the people im going with are in london! thats what i was gonna do, get there bout friday lunchtime. could leave at 7:45 and get in at .. 11:30, or leave at 8:30 and get in at 10 to 1. i guess both would be okay.

    If there's a big contingent from this board coming up for the w/end maybe we should all meet up?? I'm only saying as Fab UKG and myself live in Reading, though I won't be attending <IMG alt="image" SRC="http://www.thesite.org/ubb/smile.gif"&gt;

    its hardly a big contingent anymore, only me for certain, still trying to persuade turtle to go for one day <IMG alt="image" SRC="http://www.thesite.org/ubb/biggrin.gif"&gt; and thats it for present board members that im going with anyway. but i know there are some others who are going to reading, come on, tell us who you are!!

    i would definately go up on the thursday for two reasons 1 you know where you are and what you are doin and 2 the longer you can be in a field with friends and your drug of choice the better!!!
    i went last year and had a PHAT time!!! can't afford it this year-so have fun

    Hey all.
    Just to say that I'm sooooooo envious of you that are going! I wanted to go, I was invited by some mates to join them, but I left it too late. Now the tickets are all sold out..... I'll just have to wait till next year. Oh yeah, anyone know if Glastonbury is coming back next year? I heard the reason why it was cancelled was due to security problems, have they been sorted out? Does anybody know anything??! lol.

    Glasters 2001 was cancelled due to safety regulations as so many revellers jumped the fence last year - there were twice as many people there as there should have been and after Roskilde 2000 where 9 people were crushed to death, Health and Safety are being stricter.
    Word is they are building a superfence to keep cheapskates out and all should be on again next year <IMG alt="image" SRC="http://www.thesite.org/ubb/smile.gif"&gt;

    My 3rd festival, Reading 2001. We have hired a mini-bus from Preston (lancs) so we can haul vast amounts of larger and vodka. I'm setting off at 7am.
    The line up was better last year. I was at leeds and saw Muse, Rage, Placebo, Pulp and Limp Bizkit. And I know it sounds immature but the mini-riot was damn cool on the last night. The fire, helicopters, explosions and unity created a unique atmosphere.
    I can't wait... if you see a load of tents inhabited by a horde of drunken fools, say "hi". That'll be us!

    Well it happened again and I wasn't even there this time. It isn't coping Woodstock either, it just gets exaggerated 'cos the festival dosen't supply decent security and a toilet burns down. Nobody is dead, some police got injured but it serves them right steaming around in riot gear being arrogant ass-holes. <IMG alt="image" SRC="http://www.thesite.org/ubb/eek.gif"&gt; <IMG alt="image" SRC="http://www.thesite.org/ubb/eek.gif">Reading was pretty quiet.
