Which live act or gig anywhere you have seen in the year 2001 is the most remarkable? To me, it is Muse playing at V2001! I was in the Chelmsford site, even though it was raining, the whole act was great, atmosphere was high. I haven't seen anything like that for long time.

I to went to V2001 (Stafforshire site). Faithless really did it for me. On a drizzly summers afternoon boucing up and down to We Come One & Insomnia was so great. Also watching The Charlatans, finally with some sunshire, stoned was also a great highlight.

but the acts there that were amazing were;anastasia, nelly furtado and david gray

Best gig i saw this year was My Vitriol at Reading - absolutely fantastic. I also saw them at Manchester Uni later in the year. But the best live act overall was Ash, whoi also saw twice - at Reading and at the Ulster Hall in Belfast - absolutely fantastic!

Ash were very impressive, saw them 3 times . It was cool when they sprayed fake snow (foam) the roof for "There's A Star".

Black Sabbath put on a good show at Ozzfest as well, come to think of it.

YES at Hammersmith Apollo 4th December.

Best I've seen for ages. The new album Magnification is excellent.

Going to see Mostly Autumn at the Mean Fiddler on 12th January. Best new band for years.

    Can't choose between:-

Marilyn Manson @ Docklands Arena in January
    or
Linkin Park @ the Appollo in September.

Leeds Festival. just all of it!

The highlights were Travis cause they were just class!

Marilyn Manson as well. Dont really like his music or his theories on our human race but you can't argue with the fact that he puts on one hell of a show!

Although it was "short'n'sweet", king adora @ the London Astoria was ace. They have so much energy and they are so different to alot of the stuff around at the mo.

Saw Stereophonics at the Millenium Stadium in Cardiff - ROCKED!

Suported by The Crocketts (mental), Ash and The Black Crows.

Such a great gig. Shame the camp over weekend was canceled due to Foot + Mouth though )

Having seen Ash at the Phonics gig, I went to see them play an Intimate gig at Bristol Academy. Supported by Seafood (Bristol band - very good). Brillian gig too.

But would have to say the Phonics gig topped it!

U2 @ Slane for two gigs in the summer

I was working both nights on the bar. The first week was the week Bono's dad died so it was a special atmosphere, the second date was more upbeat and kick ass.

Moby was excellent at the second gig, I was suprised.

they stopped Ash comming on for an hour and put the Ireland football match up on the big screens, when Ireland scored it was unbelievable! 90,000 going totally mad Then Ash came on and rocked.

    brilliant.
