Supermen Lovers - Starlight is probably the best track of the year so far, possibly equalled by Roger Sanchez's Another Chance.
Apart from those, the only other contenders for Record of The Year so far would have to be Stereophonics - Have a Nice Day and that Salsoul Nugget tune.
What do you guys think ??
Mama I love you, Mama I care.

But saying that I love loads of songs including Grounded by My Vitriol and Breakout by Crackout. Erotic.
~* Starf*cker, Just like my dady *~
I take it you're talking about singles? In that case strong contenders would be Hard to Explain/New York City Cops by the Strokes, Burn Baby Burn by Ash, Fever by Starsailor and........Newborn by Muse. There've been loads of great tunes this year.
Great albums of 2001 -
The Strokes - Is This It
My Vitriol - Finelines
Ash - Free All Angels
King Adora - Vibrate You
Muse - Origin of Symmetry
Weezer - The Green Album
and Starsailor's Love is Here will be great too.
White Stripes new album is even better, though.
Radiohead's Amnesiac is decent.
Quite liked the Faithless album too.

and club wise - i would have to go rightt back to the start of the year and say mauro picotto - komodo. 4 he is the best dance producer around @ the moment!
its not illegal til u get caught
Rodger Sanchez - Another Chance vs A Fine Night Tonight
Mario Picotto - Komodo vs Rise
Coldplay - Trouble (Dance Rmx)
There are several others but I haven't got the 12" to hand as most of them are white labels.... brilliant none the less...
The best album so far this year has to be:
Ministry Ibiza Chillout Session
Pure Class, I've ordered half the tracks on that album along with some on 'ministry chillout session 2' on 12" so I can play them abroad...

turin brakes - the optimist
i think thats it!!
Out of my mind. Back in five minutes.
But I'd like to make a prediction for next years best album: The new Chili Peppers one, due in February
