The UK Dance scene this year, well it was the year of Chillout and hard house became another style on the 'way out' pile...

We've had some memorable records, Ian Van Dael gracied us with 'Castles In The Sky', we all learnt what a 'Firewire' was and commercially Kylie Minogue showed us theres more to her than a nice ass...

Roger Sanchez did the best club hit to me in my opinion, 'Another Chance' basically took over the summer feel and there wasn't a pre-club you'd go last summer without hearing it...

On the 2-Step side we had DJ Pied Piper and 'Do you really like it' to be honest we do, but it was one of those tunes like DJ Otzi's 'Hey Baby' that would piss you off as it just got canned....

On the vinyl side, it was dry to start off with, there wasn't much decent dance vinyl in my opinion for the first few months, then out the blue came a few Angelic, Space Brothers and a tasty phat remix from Evoke's classic 'Arms Of Loren'

Its been a pretty good year, we're definatly going towards a hard trance scene, yes boys and girls... trance is back, but I still miss all the classic 98 stuff we used to hear at Gatecrasher...

What will 2002 bring, I'm hoping we get more vocally tracks, I've been hoping for a return of the piano's with some ice new Italian house (the proper stuff, not that crap Mario Pui did half way through the year)

Its been a remix mad year, I think the producers have been a little stumped on what to release, maximum respect going to the usual and I'd like to give a big thumbs up to trancemasters Delerium who have been, in my opinion, best trance newcommers this year...

Wow Justin Creadible has summed it all up.....

I LOVE trance, and I am really looking forward to more music. And of course the vocals in music make it special....

Roll on 2002 and more tunes....

I think dance music is crap nowadays. I hate sounding like an old granny (I'm 19!) but 1998 was the year for club tunes! I haven't heard anything *new* that makes me tingle for aaaaaages! Quite depressing really :-(

I must admit there has also been alot of shit dance music around at clubs. But this has mostly been your shitty manufactured stuff - like pop (you know Sclub7 fans you should be shot!). There have been some quality tracks out and playing in some of the better clubs. Unlike Justin I know fuck all about music so I won't go listing them, but they are ou there.....
