Well, you can't sit there waiting, you have to post something for "us" to respond to. <IMG alt="image" SRC="http://www.thesite.org/ubb/smile.gif">

What would you like to talk about Mick?

I'm sorry for the crass remarks made, I really was just waiting for others to post messages and for me to reply to them I am distraught with my own thoughts, there has to be give and take on both sides.
Did I mention that I am Chair of the Aberystwyth & Mid-Wales Samaritans, " well everybody sits on me from a great height"
We have just found out that "we" are pregnant again."Oh what have we done to deserve this" (joke)My wife is taking time out from volunteering for the time being, I've got to do duties on my own.

So, you're pregnant again are you? congratulations Mick, I just love to hear about people being pregnant, maybe it's because I'd love to have more, but it's very very unlikely.

how many kiddies will that make Mick, I've got two. When's it due> Do you really see it as a problem??

Hi
Well, where to start, oh yes from the begining, I have 5 kids from a previous marriage, Russell age 23, Catrin age 21, Laura age 19, Charlotte age 17, Rebecca age 14. Re-married on the 17/10/1998 in a Chapel in Aberystwyth, have GWION age 18mths. RHIAN age 7mths. My children love having another little family and get on very well with my current spouse ( even my Ex calls in for tea). Of course there's no problem with having kids at my age, though it should be my kids who are having kids. That is the price to pay for Marrying a person that is 20 years younger. Love it. Next June I may have to go through the labour again

welllllll I an dunbstruck, there is not much to say after that history. if you want to see some photo's look up: http:members.tripod.co.uk/michael_jones_2/index.htm
The only trouble with being a dad at my age is trying to keep up with my 18m. old son, especially as I am waiting for a new bionic (plastic) knee, mind you it is easy to shut out the pain when you are enjoying yourself.
What does lol mean?

My husband has three children from his previous marriage Karen 34, Julian 31, and Simon 29 (I might be a year out with the boys), they have seven children between them, so in effect, I am a grandmother of 7!!! they call me Nanny neen lol. I also have a sisters who are 42 & 15 and brothers who are 35 & 10 (my Dad started up again too). My Dad was 59 when he had his last one!! So Ian (7) and Katie (5) have nephews & nieces ranging from 1 to 15, aunties & uncles ranging from 10 to 42 and siblings ranging from 5 or 7 to 34.!!! and my Mum (in effect) was a great grandma before she was a grandma!!! She didn't like that one bit. To confuse the issue even more, one of Ian & Katie's aunties is called Karen & one of their sisters is called Karen.

When Ian was born, Don's ex-wife, realising that her children were related to him, got a bit confused as to her relationship to him. So we called her auntie Brenda and her parents (my husband's ex in-laws) are known as grandad & nanny Tasker. So, although my husband has no parents alive, Ian & Katie still have three sets of grandparents & I have in-laws.

Confused?.... you will be.

Well, I seem to spend my life confused!!

That's why I escape here lol.

Christmas is the worst time of year, soooo many people to buy for & everyone arguing over who's going where at on xmas day. No-one's house is big enough to host us all. Then of course there are the usual family fueds etc.

& all I want to do is stay at home & eat & let the kids play with their new toys, but we always end up having to do "the rounds".

Still, as long as all the kids are happy eh.

We're going to my Mum's this year, d'ya fancy coming over for a beer at some point?

We win this round!! My husband has had two lots of surgery on his back & has arthritis in his back, neck, knees & soon hands. He's had two heart attacks & was defibrilated from one of them!

He is minus the crutiate ligament in one of his knees, so it dislocates regularly, causing momentary but excrutiating pain, which at least detracts for the constant back pain. lol

His circulation in his legs is so bad (because he had some veins stripped years ago) that his legs are going black from the shins down & a hole has developed in his ankle.

One of his consultants told him he needs a knee replacement, but they won't do it because they reacon that he will either die on the operating table, or lose his leg anyway.

No wonder we are stockpiling wheel chairs in the garden.

Still, he has managed to cut down on his tablets, he only takes 24-30 a day now!!

and we still keep smiles on our faces (jibber jibber jibber). You don't like to moan do you. (lol).

lol means laughing out loud, check out the thread http://www.thesite.org/ubb/Forum22/HTML/000095.html
for more abbreviations.

See ya

did you say something wrong? naaaaaaaaa
you cant offend me except with fullblown verbal abuse.
The reason youve had no reply is I'm changing ISP, gone to AOL free all the time no phone bills!!! all I pay is 14:99 p/m so the longer I'm on line the cheaper it gets, brill eh.
Listen now the only problem with your husband is that "how is he still breathing" lol another thing its only late at night , or when the kids are in bed that I can get on-line,I always try and get here once a day.
Stay cool

Hi J9
At least you're still here, can't be that bad? can it.
Anyway what about the weather? it's lovely here in Wales, if you are a duck that is.
I have been spending a lot of time up in the Samaritan Centre lately. things to do people to see, in the last three weeks we have had 13 volunteers training to be listening volunteers, quite a few students are students, good for them I say.
Bye Bye

That's good news, it wouldn't suprise me if there are alot of depressed people around after all these floods.

It's really good to hear that young people are prepared to give up their time to help other people.

Yo J9
Our Samaritan centre is buzzing at the moment, what with new Vols. and very soon now we are opening a new Samaritan charity shop, as chair you cannot imagine the legal stuff that has to be sorted out, all for a 6 year lease.

I can imagine Mick, leases are fraught with problems, you have to be so careful. Good to hear about the new shop though. Good luck with the lease.
