Strange question, and not sure where to put this but whatever lol!!
Anyway.. my best mate got an alsation recently.. Given that it's only a puppy it's huge, and gets a kick out of giving your ankles a chew (!) .. It hates me.. Snarls/Barks etc whenever I am near it .. Wether it's just playing or not I don't know. But (going to sound daft ) I am kinda scared of it.. The dillema?? My mate doesn't know !! And she keeps inviting me over, meaning I have to sit with her dog for hours !! She also plans to have me sleep at hers for her 16th .. I hate the idea but dont want to hurt her.. Any ideas as to what I could do?? :S
Have thought about suggesting we could sleep at mines.. But it's her birthday and stuff.. makes more sense to have it at her house.. Dont know..

Problem solved
You're a bad man.
There used to be this old man near me that used to drown cats in a bucket. Sick.
I would explain that you are not comfortable with the dogs behaviour and try to make friends with it, she needs to restrain it when you enter the house, not let it jump on you when you come in, perhaps using a house lead, and then eventually let the dog come to you when it wants to, dont make eye contact with it and dont touch or speak to the dog until it sits down quietly, then I would recommend she praises the dog and gives it a treat, and also lets you start to verbally praise the dog as she does, then after a period of time let you start to give the dog a treat when its sat quietly.
Puppies can be scared of all sorts of silly things, baseball hats, noisy shoes etc so it could well be something you wear or do that sets it off.
Who said anything about killing animals?
It sounds like it's just playing, my dog bites me and growls all the time when she is playing and it is not vicious at all, just rough play.
I'd just say to her because theres no other way to solve it.
Good Luck:)
Tell her and she will understand, and be firm back with the dog. Dogs are pack animals and the way you make them behave is to make them think that if they don't behave they will be cast out of the pack.
