Sell your eggs?

I'm not sure if this should go in this forum...but the moderators can always move it.

So I was reading the campus newspaper the other day before class (complete piece of shit) and I saw a full page ad.

Wanted:
5'8"-5'10" Blonde female
High SAT scores (college entrance exams)
Blue or green eyes
To donate your eggs to an infertile couple
Compensation: $100,000!!!!!!!!

Would anyone do this?
You have to take daily injections of hormones, which are supposed to be painful for several months and can't drink or do drugs...but $100,000! There might be other restrictions as well...I'm not sure.

well apart from the no sex factor! no, i personally wouldnt do it
i read the story of an egg donar a few years ago in a magazine and (i dont know if the law has changed) but women apparently are only meant to get payed the same amount as men are - which doesnt really amount to anything as all men need is a dirty mag and a cup.
its a quick way to make money but its selling genetics - what if this stunningly beautiful and intellegent woman who donates her eggs has a history of cancer or cystic fibrosis in her family? would they be screened for any possible inherited disease?
    i wouldnt risk it <IMG alt="image" SRC="biggrin.gif" border="0"> <IMG alt="image" SRC="biggrin.gif" border="0"> <IMG alt="image" SRC="biggrin.gif" border="0">

Donating eggs is not regulated in the US, you can offer or charge as much as you please for eggs. I've seen other ads in the same campus rag offering 30,000, 40,000, etc.
But 100,000 to me seems like so much money...it would wipe out all my loan debt and leave me with tons.

Of course, I think if you were buying eggs you would probably screen for genetic diseases in the donor.
